Does anyone know if the figures are injection molded with clear or translucent plastic and then painted over? Or if they are injejected with colored plastic?

The clear figures obviously are entirely molded with clear plastic but there are some, like translucent arms electro and bamfing night crawler that are, at least in some parts injected with clear plastic and then the paint is added only up to the pre determined points to have that clear effect.

My point is, if standard practice is to mold entirely clear and then add paint, in theory one could soak any figure in paint thinner (not nail polish remover, because I don't think it's strong enough) and have a clear figure.

I have some loosies that I'd be happy to experiment with, but no paint thinner, so if any arker out there has sacrificial loosies, and paint thinner pour a cup, leave a fig in there for a few mins and see what happens.
