You're a British dude named Daniel who has amnesia, and you're in some sort of... Castle? I think? And you find a letter (like right away) and it's from you, and it says that you drank something on purpose to cause you amnesia (don't know why yet) and you have to murder some guy named "Alexander". The whole gameplay is basically you with a lantern and you have to solve the mystery, it's dark as hell at some parts, and there are scary ass noises all the time. And the longer you stand in the dark without a light, the higher your "insanity" rating goes. Also, your lantern runs out of oil easily. And you can't fight back, only run and hide. Scary shit.
