Mk and SF are on two opposite ends of the genre. Its been proven with the MK vs DC game that mk just isn't the same without copious amounts of blood and gore. Try to mix up how that game plays with how SF plays and you end up with a convoluted mess. One would have to conform to the other and suffer for it. It woukd go down in history alright. As the best idea expected to turn out bad that was actually worse than expected.. That's my opinion at least and I'm sticking with it.

Ah didn't know that about SFvsT, since I never played it.
