This is what I received in my email. Last year they did scan the bar code but checking IDs is a new thing this year. I agree with everything iceman stated but I'm just informing you guys of the info I received. I'll find out for sure on preview night Wednesday.

I am looking forward to meeting with all of you. Standing in the for Hasbro would be a good idea but it will take 3+ hours. I can see no other ppl to stand in that line with than my fellow arkers.

We may scan the bar code, require a photo ID that matches the name on the badge, scan RFID embedded in the badge, and examine the badge with other technological and/or physical methods to verify authenticity of the badge and holder. Before leaving any registration area please make sure that the name on the badge matches your identification.
