Ok, another example - anyone know The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh from the early 90s? That show was awesome when I was a little kid, but watching some episodes now, I realize the writing and subtle humor are wonderful for a little kids show. I think part of the thing the animated TV industry needs to get is that if they make childrens TV shows intelligent, parents will watch it too, and if parents don't feel like their intelligence is being insulted, they'll keep watching. When parents watch, there's more family time (which is always a plus) and the parents are more likely to buy merchandise for the kids.
