It's not so much that they're expensive (they aren't cheap either), but how addicting they are. They really are done well.

Anyway, it's become a lot easier to collect this line over the past year. They almost always have figures up for sale on their thread (I believe there's currently a 10% off sale going on). Personally, I'd start out by heading out there right now and getting He-Man, Skeletor, and their Cats.

I could go on and on, but those should be staples in every MOTUC collection.
