Very nice
. Just to add, the reason Galeon and Gaigar are different characters is because Gaigar is actually Shishioh Gai (the cyborg) taking control of Galeon like how Katori takes control of the Fire jet or in the case of TFs how the Masterforce humans take control of their Transtectors.
Also the korean sonokong stuff generally have the same quality build as the japanese version but from what I can see, their paint and sticker quality are far worse. Shadow Dagwon has crummy yellow paint and Super Guardion... I'll get onto that when I review it. In the mean while, I'll post my Fighbird and Battle Bomber reviews:
Fighbird:
Brave of the Sun Fighbird is the second Brave series. Its prececessor had a galactic police force protecting earth by merging with ordinary earth vehicles. This time all the vehicles have a 'rescue' theme. Figbird is the leader of the Galactic Guard who may be related to the Kaisers. Fighbird merges himself with an android that Professor Amano had built and interacts with the Amano family.
The box has nice but basic art on the front. It should be noted that this is the reissue which uses different box art than the original vintage box.
The Fire Jet, Flame Breaster and small figure of Katori Yutaro (His second name means fire bird) in android form.
The Fire jet is the first vehicle used by Katori. It is launched from the lab whenever Katori needs to perform rescue missions and go places. It is a nice jet vehicle. Theres flip out wheels underneath for this mode. The cannons on the back can move up and down and the white 'blocks' can open to reveal a pack of six missiles each (not useable) and a black cannon can be revealed by moving the switch on the side.
The second jet in this set. This is not used by Katori. And is seen nearing the end of the episode in the stock footage when Katori calls it. The cannons can move up and down. Its not really that convincing and is primarily there for the robot mode.
The Flame breaster can attach to the Fire Jet to form Busou (Armed) Mode.
The weapons are all the same when in this mode.
Katori Yutaro is the main character in this series. He is a space police who came down to earth and possessed a android created by a nutty professor who wants to protect the world from a being know as Draias. Normally Katori looks like any average joe human but when he calls the Fire Jet he returns to his android state.
Katori can ride inside the Fire Jet in the cockpit.
When it comes time to fight the baddie of the week Katori transforms into a block.
The block Katori becomes is housed in the robot's chest. This form is refered to as Fighbird. He has a rod as his weapon in this state (As far as I can tell in the Brave Saga game) but the toy does not include it. He has minimal articulation (two in each arm and you can sort of count the hips). His hands dont lock in and they often like to retract.
The signature weapon of Fighbird his stored in the nose of the jet behind Fighbird's head. Its kind of loose though.
When Fighbird isnt enough to finish off the baddie of the week (which is quite often) then Katori calls the Flame Breaster into action. It becomes the chest piece of Fighbird and adds a new helmet. This is refered to as Busou (Armed) Fighbird.
As Fighbird he has access to all of the jet's weaponry.
Size comparison between Busou Fighbird and Great Exkaiser (Fighbird's huge!)
And that finishes off another of my reviews
. Take care guys.
