Depends on the item, company and whether it's a true Con exclusive, or shown first exclusive at con. Hasbro has SDCC items that are hugely mass produced and sell thousands at the show, but also turn around and sell the remaining stock to comic shops, vendors, and ppl on their site after con. Same with lots of other companies. However some items, especially numbered-limited edition stuff is hit and miss, you maybe able to find it retail someday as a repaint, or on ebay,amazon for a decent price. The big thing is timing, give anything long enough and the value and demand drops, ex SDCC MU figures they were $30-100 range depending on the seller, now you can find them for $30 or less shipped. Best bet is to find an arker or friend who is going and give them $$ to pick it up for you.
