I had a simular thread recently about miscasting, but this is a bit different in direction. Inspired by the number of conversations over various threads the past couple days over casting choices, miscasting, and appropriate casting.
So I though a nice generic thread where you can post all your own casting choices down! What actors/actresses do you think would be just perfect for that certain character in a bigscreen or TV adaptation or remake?
Michael Clark Duncan- Ben Grimm and The Thing
Brenden Frasier- Captain Marvel/Shazam
Also, I think Brenden Frasier would make an absolutely marvelous Superman and Clark Kent!
Think about it. We know he can play an action hero. We know he's a hell of an actor. He can play serious, and he's also a great comedic actor. He can play that hometown boyscout in the big city. He wouldn't look bad at all as Superman, and he could put a bit of a lighter spin on it. He can really nail Clark's somewhat goofier personality, and bring a simular charm to the role that Dean Cain did. He'd be perfect if they did an origin story. And I think it'd be a lot better than Singer's "Superman is serious business, and we have to wank the Christopher Reeves as much as possible!"
Not suggesting that it should be an out and out comedy... but I think Superman would work better if it had a bit of a lighthearted and sweet nature to it.
Ryan Renolds- Kyle Rayner
Lake Bell- Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire
Karen Gillan- Theresa Cassidy/Siryn
