Backpack main hinge: New design, now snaps into place on the back (oddly enough, the back piece is unchanged and always had that tab the new hinge now clips to) and also allows the rear window assembly to turn around 180 degrees for robot mode (so it's now upside-down with rear doors & bars deployed)
Weapons: 6 all-new weapons including 4 guns (including one with a launching missile), 2 swords and 4 clips allowing various mounting options in both modes. Weapons can also be combined in various ways via pegs & holes, also the 2 main guns that go under the truck in alt mode each have a small molded running board to make the truck mode look more complete
Paint apps: some good looking silver on the feet, shins, crotch and head. Silver stripes in truck mode, bronze on the chest plate, yellow lights on the truck and the front bumper
