^ DCUC did have really obscure characters, but Matty asserts that poor sales of these killed the line. They can't afford to produce the full runs needed for the line to be in stores if no one buys the Golden Pharoahs and Jemms and Mary Batsons and Starmen, and Magogs. (I would argue that better-organized wave lineups & better case assortments might have helped this, but it's too late now.)

There will still be DC Unlimited & Batman Unlimited for the A-B-C rosters of characters, but anyone who is looking for Captain Marvel, Jr., Ragdoll, Granny Goodness, and even Red Hood are S.O.L. without a vehicle for bringing small run figures to the marketplace.

And, yes, I did add Magog specially for you. Going forward, we will never see a character like Magog outside of the subscription. To Mattel, he and others like him will never be sufficiently mainstream for the retail line.
