Vel Sul was wandering the streets, he was tired of being at the Jewelry shop with his "uncle" and needed some time out. Seattle was unlike Minsk. Everyone here took so much for granted. They were greedy and self serving. The only problem was he couldn't get anything to drink. For the last few weeks when people would come to the store he studied their ID's in an effort to make his own. Thinking he got it he headed into Corner St Liquors. He strolled in an enjoyed the sight of all of the booze. Making his way he found where the vodka was. He scanned the shelves and snarled in disgust and what Americans thought was vodka. He picked a bottle and strolled up to the register with a smile. The clerk looked at him and said "ID." Sul handed it to him and looked at the bottle. "You spelled Washington wrong." and the clerk handed it back. Sul, scowled and reached into his pocket pulling out all his money. "This says that the id looks good and I can get a bottle, da?" And handed the clerk $43.67. Dave, the clerk looked down at the money and the bottle. "Yeah ok kid, this time. Where you from?" Sul smiled, "Minsk." He grabbed the bottle and left.



Sul wandered the streets on the way back to the shop taking his time. He would look at people but never smile, that was not the Russian way. These people so much money and no wits. But the streets were clean. Children played nearby having a good time. Up ahead were three girls jumping rope. He slowed and as he got near they looked at him and one said, " He is looking for you."



"That is nice little girl." Sul said, and then it dawned on him the were speaking Russian. His eyes narrowed.

"Youi can't escape, we found you so won't he." Taunted the girl.

Sul was gone, he became Affliction, his warrior name. "You have made a big mistake."

She laughed and replied, "Time to burn. "And then she spit fire at him lighting his jacket on fire.

The fire was physical and mystical and Affliction shook. He cast a quick spell and the fire died down a bit but his jacket was ruined. His arm felt blistered and his left leg was sore. He was not ready for this. He ripped off his jacket, dropping the vodka and cursing then running off. He went for a couple blocks before he stopped for a moment. He panted for a minute and looked down at his arm, it was horrible. The skin was peeling off and the muscle was blackened. He winced as the skin sloughed off. He turned to a wall and mumbled a spell, he felt the energy drain from him but the muscle tuned pink and skin regrew. He shook for a moment and left out a gasp. He staggered a bit and rested against newspaper box. He looked in and saw the headline "Alpha Alliance saves Ferry, passengers make it safely". He stroked his chin. Maybe he needed allies for this and they looked like they could do. He smiled and took the long way home. He just needed to figure how to meet them.
