Mind if I ask where you get those cases for MOC MU?
They're Star Cases from Protech. They're a little pricey, but if you buy in bulk they're not as bad. Splitting the cost with others is a pretty good idea too.

Here's the link, just scroll down to "THE ACTION FIGURE CASE™ for NEWER G.I. JOE'S AND SIMILAR"

Heads up to you other Star Case peeps, I bought a BUNCH of these about two months ago, and they now fit the 2012 line without any problems. (They used to crush the angled corner on the left.

I believe a version of Hags' clear figure holder is available on this page too, under "LOOSE ACTION FIGURE PREMIUM DISPLAY"

I've heard a lot of reviews saying that Scarlet's face isn't nearly as good in production as it was in the prototypes. You seem to feel the same way. Do you think it's an issue, or just early production problems?

Maybe (probably) I'm wrong and this suff will hit the pegs soon, and be easy to get, but I just don't want to leave it to chance, I never saw clear vision or strange at retail, I never saw metal absorbing man at retail, and I can almost guarantee I'll never see upside down beast, bag spidey, or miles at retail. Which is probably just my own bad luck.

But now I don't have to worry about it.
I get it, I do. I once saw Metal Absorbing Man at retail, and it was at an LCS who had gotten an early case. TRU got them once or twice, but the figure was LONG gone by the time I got there (I wasn't as on my game as I am now).

It takes a lot of effort to hunt efficiently. Nightly commutes to Walmarts takes it's toll on your whole life, and proves fruitless 98% of the time. Watching Target's website every morning before they open, getting up early enough to make it down there as they open, while easier, is still a LONG waiting game, and they always seem to restock on the one day of the week where you absolutely can't make it over there. TRU's "We have no way of knowing what's coming," is the worst. You basically have to be there at opening on the day the truck came in every single time they get a truck, and even then, employees are likely to pull stuff out while they're restocking.

Hunting isn't easy anymore, and the LONG drought nearly killed the line in many ways. When I started, you could go to a random Walmart or Target, and maybe find something still on their pegs from a year eariler. It was a nice mix of the things in the line. Now, every place has the same tired wave and the same tired warmers. There's nothing new except restock, and restock hasn't been good since February.

Still, there's something to be said for the returnability of retail. When those same Spidey figs you pulled off the shelf go on clearance for $3 each, you can buy them at the lower price and return them on the older receipt if you hang onto it. It's a waiting game that usually turns out in your favor.

$11 a figure is a lot. I know we're used to it because we've been getting beat down during the hiatus, and we're willing to pay anything just to have new stuff now, but these figures really shouldn't be more than $6-8, especially when the ML figures are $15. We're quickly getting to the point that MU will be $15 each and ML will be $20, and I just can't justify it to myself.

Maybe with Wave 19 I'll actually go through with my preorder, but I can't be sure. I feel better spending my money on toys in small increments, rather than $100 cases.

P.S., didn't realize i posted twice in a row for one thread, can someone please merge the last two posts?
You pretty much have to do all of that. If you're lucky, you can find another collector locally and split the cost of the case. If you're not, you could be stuck with spares, and end up eating the cost of the extras.
