Next up in our series of Transformers Prime new toy gallery updates we've got the latest addition to the Prime Voyager size class - Dreadwing! Dreadwing is the new Decepticon who joins the cast early in season 2 to avenge his brother Skyquake, and in toy form he proves to be an excellent and show-accurate representation of the character, albeit with a couple of small elements which might give some of you reservations about picking on up for your Prime Decepticon squad.

Those reservations are, mainly, that the entire head is made of soft rubber. Not just the crests, as has been the case in the past, but the whole thing. The MechTech gun is another sore point, lacking a post long enough to be carried slung under the arm as on the show, because the hands are molded part open. It's a small point given you need a rubber band to make the gun stay unfolded, but it's still a detractor.

On to the good though, you have an excellent vehicle mode and a surprisingly in-depth transformation, providing for an accurate look in robot and jet modes. Robot mode is very sleek and free of extraneous vehicle mode parts, jet mode regrettably does have a bit of an undercarriage and the hands sticking out the back.

Overall, a toy worth picking up, even with the minor flaws he is one of the best representations of a character in the Transformers Prime line.
