Okay, Mahvel Comics question, folks.

While working on Cloak earlier, I started thinking about Dark X-Men. I know they weren't as big of a "thing" as Dark Avengers (especially since DA had a second go just recently), and I didn't actively read comics at the time, so I don't know too much about the team outside of what Wikis will tell me.

So was there a reason they didn't all get Dark x names like Avengers with Dark Spider-Man, Dark Ms. Marvel, etc.? Most of them do seem to match up to actual X-Men and it just seems weird that they didn't do that (then again, not everyone got those names in the second Dark Avengers team, but it was pretty obvious that Skaar was Dark Hulk, Ragnarok was Dark Thor, etc.)

Anyway, I went through and tried to figure out what each member represented on the vanilla X-Men team. I may be wrong on some and some seem like maybe they were based on one or more, so please steer me in the right direction if possible.

Mystique - Professor X. This one's pretty obvious, since she actually transformed into Xavier for a while.
Dark Beast - Another no-brainer, since he got had the "Dark x" moniker already.
Daken - Wolverine, another obvious one since he's the only one on both teams, and he went by Wolverine on both as well.
This is where it gets tricky:
Cloak - I'm going to go with Nightcrawler, since he's got the whole 'porting thing. That's why I had him curb-stomping Kurt in the pic.
Dagger - At first I was going to go with Dazzler since they both have that light attack thing, but why the fuck would Normie have cared about getting a Dark Dazzler? I figured she might equate to Gambit, then.
Black Queen - Is Emma supposed to be like Scott (leadershipishness) or Jean (psychic chick)? Was Jean even alive during this period?
Mimic - Angel came to mind since he looks an awful lot like him in costume, but his powers are more of a Rogue-type thing. Could be either.
Omega - This one was hard to come up with, since I don't know shit about the character. He was once Guardian but the other Guardian I know of, Jim Hudson, wasn't a mutant. He couldn't be a "Dark" Guardian really right? His powers, reading on the Wiki, remind me a bit of Bishop, so he might be his counterpart.
Sub-Mariner - This is the toughest one. Namor's kind of a wildcard since from what I've read, Emma used him as the bartering chip to get on the team (Wikia says she said she'd only join if he could, too). But I'm thinking he's still got to have a parallel. Iceman, for the water/ice parallel? Or Scott for the "being a dick" factor?

Thoughts/questions/corrections/complaints?
