This. Comic books just can stick with the death of any character that is remotely popular. I think it is because of the structure of comics and how they just keep going and going. Editors and creatives teams change so often and the they don't have to get approval from the last guy to change whatever they want. I do hate to see a big shake up happen only to be completely ignored when the next guy takes over.

I mean, a character may be gone for 10 years but in comic book time it's like they died a year or so ago, which makes revivals feel even more lame and often disruptive. Jean Grey's death is sticking so far but they can't help bringing in her AoA version or past self.
