I'm not going to recommend spending cash for this game, but I DO 100% recommend you save up gold to get a Quantum Jumper (QJ). It is single handily the best gadget in the game and essentially gives your teammates 2 extra actions. This game is all about who takes the most turns, so it doesn't get much better than QJ. Hint - this is partially the reason Mockingbird is so damn deadly.

Save gold by leveling, 4-starring missions, and maybe doing some simple offers like surveys, application downloads, gamefly, netflix, etc.
