I've always had greater success in selling individual items as compared to lots. People who already own specific figures are less likely to bid on lots, because they don't want to pay extra money for things they already have.

The key to selling individual items is to not be greedy about it. Start your listings at a reasonable price, and let the buyers tell you what they are willing to pay.

A perfect example of this is I just sold EVERY Garbage Pail Kid series released in the USA. I sold them by series, and started the listings at only one dollar. When it was all said and done, I walked away with close to four thousand bucks.

You have to keep in mind that buyers are more inclined to bid high amounts if the initial asking price is fairly low. Not only that, but once they get into a bidding war for an item, they seem to take it personal that they have been outbid, and often times will bid more. So, again, let the buyers tell you what your item is worth, and you'll find mass success in your sales.

Most importantly, don't be lazy. If you want the most money for your stuff, you have to work for it. That means taking the time to photograph everything, listing it all, and then making the numerous trips to the post office. It took me days to photograph all my cards, and hours to post them all, and then several days over a week period of making trips to and from the post office, but again - four grand. It was worth the time and effort.
