Both, really. But I saw the SF figures first and that's what turned me off. Maybe I'll get the Ken/Blanka set on clearance, just to be able to say I own one and yes, it's as bad as everyone says (or get proven wrong).
I did that with the GL movie 3.75" figures and am the proud owner of one of the worst Hal Jordan figures ever made. Thankfully, Bruce is keeping him company until Clark shows up next year. My plan is to eventually have the entire team of Justice
Lame
movie figures.
I can't lie, both lines were...not so great, but the SF figures were definitely the worst of the two IMHO. I snagged all of the SF & MK figures that were out at the time in one swoop, and ended up driving an hour each way to return the SF figures the next day; only time I've ever returned a figure since I started collecting.
I wasn't a big fan of the aesthetic of the SF figures to begin with, but when I opened up the first pack both figures were broken right out of the package. This was also the only time I've ever given a figure a negative review, usually I can find something positive to say about a figure, but nothing for these guys.
The MK figures were slightly better, haven't had any QC issues out of mine so far, and the aesthetic is more in line with other 3.75" figures, so that bought them a little bit of grace for me.
On a totally unrelated note....
Can anybody confirm for me that the the 4" Rain figure seen a single carded release? It seems like I recall seeing one at TJ Maxx or something, but I'm not 100% on it. I got the Ninja 6 Pack and didn't pay much attention to the single carded releases of the Ninjas after that.
(I'm going to be curating the ShelfLife database on these and want to make sure that all of the releases are represented.)
