People will reply to you with "It's not their fault, its the retailers for ordering so many". Well before anyone says shit, retailers can't decide how much of a character they get so it is easily all Mattels fault on some level. Damn Mattel and their awesome product [most of the time] and shitty everything else.
The reality is that there is a clear reason why the MattyCollector/Digital River pairing even exists. It's simple:
These lines don't sell well enough globally to warrant mass distribution, so the teams involved and the outsourced distribution process are a low priority.
Don't forget, Mattel is actually the biggest toy company on the planet, far bigger even than Hasbro overall, but their focus is on a bunch of lines aimed truly at children, not our niche 80s nostalgia action.
Still, the only way to generate action is to keep sending in the complaints...I would however recommend sending them higher up the chain so that eventually a VP pays someone a nasty visit and sets things straight.
