Those $12 sets that you see online or at Big Lots are not the same thing. The cheaper ones are made out of rather crappy plastic and have lost quite a bit of the molded detail on the figures... they also tend to break very easily. The ones on that site are actually almost identical to the Hasbro/Takara releases and are often sold as "Reissues" or "Replicas", these are a very high quality KOs...but still a KOs, LOL.

EDIT: I didn't mean that to come off "snooty", I hope it didn't.
