On a side note do you think they will ever add Lanterns to the series or do you think they won't because of the CGI GL show? I've always thought that Kyle, Natu, or Iolande would be brilliant GLs to add to the team. Or Star Sapphire Mira if they wanted to go with someone outside the GLC.
All of the above could easily be portrayed as teenagers, and all of them could easily consider Hal and John as mentors.
Natu and Kyle have the easiest stories to adapt. For Natu, Hal could have smuggled her away in fear that Sinestro may be coming for her, and decides to hide her on earth for her training, safely away from the Sinestro Corps.
Mira could easily be explained as Carol having become a Star Sapphire in the 5 year gap (Or earlier), with Mira becoming her prodegy.
