In 2009 we received 70 figures overall with 40 new characters, in 2010 77/35. 2011 76/35

In 2012 it fell off to 47/15. Thats includes the three figure professor x wave that popped up for 1 case per store at walmart.

Conversely if we see all the figures they've said we're getting this year we should see more new characters in 2013 than 2012.

While I'm not one for hearsay and conspiracies, the math on this seems relatively convincing. However, since MU's inception we have gained several "sister lines". It could be possible that the drop in 2012 was due to the 3 big Marvel movies which were still out at retail, as well as the hit that Hasbro sustained that year.

Although thats just an alternative hypothesis there truly doesn't seem too much of a logical reason why we'd see THAT much of a decline from 2011 to 2012.

In either case it is what it is I suppose
