Based on the width of the stands from SmallJoes, I think I figured 18 across by 8 tiers... 144 per shelf...by 4 shelves... roughly 576. That's not accounting for oversized figures with a larger footprint like Hulk, IM1 Iron Monger, Goblin King from the Hobbit.

Me too, still waiting for the paint to dry...and extra stands to get here. I'm itching to bust out all the figures I've had stored away in totes, I just haven't had room to put them out. I'll post pics of progress.
