In my opinion, I think you'd be better off waiting 'til Hasbro paints the Big Time/ Future Foundation Spidey body in his classic colors. I have no doubts that they will.
I grew up with spidey and had almost all the Mcfarlane run, so for me the figure is an excellent portrayal of the comicbook artwork, not of an actual man shrunk down. I actually prefer the black suit spidey from the rulk wave to be my 2nd go to spidey, but I wish he had finger articulation and ankle pivots. The FF spidey is a great mold but the big hand and lack of finger articulation is the only issues I have with the figure. I can see them reusing the mold in classic colors eventually they're reusing it for another spidey in the upcoming lines.

I hear you, there's so many made, and they all have their share of pros and cons. I have some shitty spidey figures but the headsculpt are beautful.. custom kit bash down the road...

The plastic on the figures is cheap? Feels like any other Legends figure lately. I'm glad Hasbro gave us at least one old school big BAF this year, which is the only reason I was stoked to pick this stuff up. (I'll be even more stoked for Ultron later on, just for the head sculpt alone)
He does look decent, sucks we have to wait until fall for the remaining 3 figures, Not 100% sold on this ultron, but he looks 100% better then the first ML release, but don't know if it's better then the new MS version.

Word, expensive kitbash but it could be done, I just can't see Hasbro making finger articulation anytime soon.

Color it like the Iron Man Legends Ditko Horns armor, make a new mold and I'll be happy!
I would like to see that too, but I still do like the faceoff set, have a warmachine set coming in soon to match. I would love metalic paint, and the figure upgraded say to a silver centurion body. With a flight stand!!
