Though originally planned to release back in June 29 2012, the movie release date was pushed to late March 2013 for 3D conversion. Revised release date was then listed as March 29th, but the recent TV spots and the Official Website has been updated mentioning that the new Release Date is March 28.

For G. I. Joe Movie Fans, it has been quite a long wait as well. Most are hoping that G. I. Joe: Retaliation to live up to the expectations after the critically bashed 1st movie; G. I. Joe: Rise Of Cobra. The second movie from Director Jon M Chu is a Semi-Reboot; acting as both a sequel and a reboot to the first live action movie.
