As for the claws, they're just made of some run-of-the-mill sewing needles that you can get from any dept. or fabric store. They were bent by using these:
They're wire bending pliers that you can get, if you don't already have them, from any good online hobby supplier & they're fairly inexpensive and a great tool set that I'm sure you'll use again and again! If you do use them to bend needles for his claws, do so
very
slowly &
gradually
as the needles have a tendency to snap if the pressure exerted to bend them is too great ( Believe me, i went thru several before I got it right
)
