Nah, he is your friend, you will sell it to him for 10 bucks, or maybe you will be so happy that you will give it to him for free. Because he is your close friend.

Now, this whole argument is based on how we percieve other Arkers. Are they our friends? Are they just the means to get figures cheap? Or are they just a sheep to try to make some money off of them?

I think that is a lot of it. To me there is a big difference between a figure you just got at retail and one that you've had in your collection for years and isn't on the shelf anymore. I wouldn't try to pay someone retail for an older figure that goes for much more because I don't know what they paid or how long they've been holding onto it. Paying $30-$40 for a figure I know someone just pulled from a case or found on the pegs is where I have the problem as it's largely artificial demand.

The price in reputation would be too high. if you want top value or "market price" as were calling scalper prices now I guess...theres a thousand places for that (not condoning or condeming) like Ebay....

That's just it. I don't get why anyone would come on here to get top dollar for items that sell easily on ebay or the like. Alarms go off for me as to why they aren't just using ebay where the buyer can be protected. People come here to make trades that help each other or to help people out who aren't getting certain figures in their area. I can see people coming here to forums to sell figures don't have a huge market elsewhere or maybe finding someone what would want to take an entire collection.

I've been able to come to an agreement about fair value (both ways) on figures with most people here. The ones were I haven't made the trade/sale/buy with are the ones that demanded top prices and wanted retail for my stuff or agreed to a trade and then wanted to change when I was on my way to the post office. Those people rarely have any feedback here anyway. I think a good trade/sale involves both sides feeling like they got what they wanted but neither side jumping for joy because they just the deal/profit of the century or something.
