Several questions?

Hi, I'm currently trying to mod the diamond select incredible hulk (the standard comic-based hulk from 2008, I think), and by mod I mean remove the head and increase the friction on the ball-socket/head-neck joint. I want to do this by heating the neck and head with a hair-dryer for sixty seconds, gently pulling the joint out, waiting for both parts to cool (probably gonna put it in a fridge or freezer), dipping the ball part of the socket joint on the neck into a very small pile of super glue, smooth out the glue around the ball a lot to leave a very thin layer, wait for the glue to dry, and then pop the ball back into the socket by heating the socket (not the ball, as that would have glue on it, and it might melt slightly and then adhere to the socket), and then putting the figure in the freezer for a while and taking him out (to harden the plastic again).
So I have a few questions that I would appreciate anyone answering:
1) How long would super-glue last in providing good enough friction, specifically (days, weeks, months, years, decades) on a ((a) hard and (b) soft) plastic surface, considering that the glue would be on a ball which would be moving around in its socket A LOT (I move the joints around quite a bit)?
2) How long would clear or other types of nail polish last in the same situation as question 1?
3) Is using the method involving super-glue to create more friction in the neck joint that I described practical and a good idea? How much glue should I apply, and are there better ways of applying it?
4) would putting the figure in the freezer or fridge with super-glue on it cause any damage to the figure or glue?
5) As a kind of expansion of question 3, are there any errors in my method, and do you have any advice about it?
Quite a lot to take in, I know, but anyway, I appreciate any help a lot. Thanks!
