The Toyark is looking for moderators for it's various forums, and news staff on almost every toy line.

If you are interested in either of these posts, please contact Super_Megatron. You can also CC DESTRO and myself if you like.

Moderators generally do the following:

Actively post new threads in the forum they are assigned to.
Watch over the forums they are assigned to.
Make sure threads are appropriate according to the site rules.
Make sure the threads are appropriate for the forum they are in.
Delete post or threads which are not appropriate or off topic.
Be available for regular users to ask questions or contact about issues in their forum.
Interact with other mods, super moderators and admins related to forum issues by giving feedback and responding to staff only threads.

Along with other things that may come up. Certain forums may also have more duties depending on what it is.

News Staff generally do the following:

Search the internet for news, new images, press releases, and other interesting information on the toy line they cover.
Develop relationships with industry insiders that can get you new information.
Watch the forums for news posted by the fans.
Actively search and monitor these things at least once a day.
Post whatever you find in the front page news system using proper grammar, spelling and linking to original sources.
If a thread does not exist on our forums already, post a thread there with the info, and cross link the front page post with the new thread.

You will also be a moderator of the forum which is for the toy line you want to cover as News Staff. So if you want to cover Marvel Toy News, you will also be a moderator of the Marvel Toy Forum. Your primary job will be news, but your secondary role is to post in that forum and be a back up to the regular mod there.

What do you get:

Ability to be a leader in the fandom for what you collect and care about.
Be the go-to-guy for communication with the companies that make your covered toy line.
If any freebies or samples come our way, you get them first.
Cover events around the country on behalf of the Toyark. Press passes or compensation for admission may be given.
Be part of any hang outs or meet ups at cons among Toyark Staff.
Access to the Toyark staff forums and staff lounge.
