All I know is I love toys and Marvel comics so as long as I can put little plastic guys on a shelf i'm happy. If that's a hundred Wolverine's then cool, if they look good and connect me to the art of comic-book story telling then i'm happy.
I can't say I know anything about this Vonner guy or what the distribution issues are in the US. I live in the UK so get a little tired of hearing people lamenting how they can only find certain figures from recent waves when Brits are lucky to even see the MU figures in the wild.
Sorely tempted to chew the head off my solid Vision and give my deathmask Archangel to a five-year old just to make a point. They're toys. If the line dies or evolves into something else then so be it, it's not sad or heart-breaking in the grand scheme.
It's more exciting to me that Hasbro have attempted to push the line out to a wider audience. As someone that loves toys I can't lament more toys coming out.
The thing that amuses me and perturbs me is the sense of entitlement people have regarding what companies should be doing for them. You could get a line of core Avengers over and over or you could have a range of core characters and collector focused characters AS WELL. Just be happy you have the luxury to be concerned over this utterly pointless argument rather than something that actually means something.
Geeks, I love ya and hate ya in equal measures!
It is kinda funny how you are lumping a lot of different people and comments into one "geeks" group like we all said the same thing. The fact that Hasbro is just telling people at their booth that they are ending MU/ML and shifting into this other stuff isn't a good sign. Don't you think if it was good news they would save it for the panel where they could have awesome new figures to show up and immediately shut up any naysayers? Clearly they don't have much regard for the line so they are just telling whoever asked at preview night. I hope they show some great stuff this weekend but there isn't any reason to expect great things with the info they just dropped on us. At least not for the 3.75" stuff.

It's disappointing that figures they just showed us at Toy Fair have already been canceled and figures we have been waiting for since two Cons ago may never get made. I don't think many of us are feeling entitles to anything but disappointed at the way things are looking. Anyone would be annoyed if they were showed a product, planned to buy it (maybe even put money down), and then were told that product is never getting produced. It's very natural and has nothing to do with "geeks" being "geeks" bro. We are just giving a rational analysis of the information that Hasbro has just given us. If you don't like it I guess you can go troll elsewhere?
