There's the problem. The movie was freakin' amazing but no one went to see it. It could've been an awesome franchise had the movie not bombed.

Seriously, do you guys think giant monsters fighting over cities and in the ocean would've been better to watch on the small screen?? Arrghh!

Yeah, I was surprised more people didn't get into the spirit of it all. But it's doing good overseas, so far it's grossed a total $344+ Mill globally. Only $97 Mill was U.S. Not a total bomb, enough to keep the sequel in production.
