The two franchises have a long history of crossovers, beginning back in the original Marvel comics series, with highlights including the Generation 2 prelude published in the latter issues of the original Marvel GI Joe series and the first GI Joe / Transformers miniseries from Devil's Due, which saw the Autobots and Decepticons taking on alternate modes inspired by GI Joe vehicles.

There is no information yet on when this is set to be released, or how many issues it will run for, but we are assuming on the pattern of past crossovers that a miniseries of between four and six issues seems likely.
