Online and in store are very different. I do agree that the inferior wave 1 wouldn't much compared to later waves since those figures aren't as nice AND they been out over a year. A figure might sell out quickly online at even double the retail price but could peg warm at retail or the LCS for the same price. Online you have access to millions of potential customers instead of thousands.
That sounds like a unique situation up there, was @ a toy fair today talking to a # of sellers & they told me how tough it was for them to find those new cobra army builders too so it wasn't just me.
I did find a 6 inch Boba there for $25 instead of the usual $35 - that's 1 more figure I still haven't seen @ retail yet either!
And if they're selling out both on-line & what I & other professional toy dealers/sellers are finding (or in this case, not finding @ retail), seems like supply isn't meeting demand.
