Generations Fireblast Grimlock is a dual homage - his name as well as the red lines on the black are inspired by the Transformers Animated Activators Fireblast Grimlock, with the comparison on these two being most obvious in the robot mode. However in dinosaur mode you might notice the silver on the tyrannosaur head - that, and the weapons particularly, reference the Transformers Super Link Dinobot Magma Type, which had a US variant under Transformers Energon named Doomlock.

According to the order page, Generations Fireblast Grimlock is due for a release on 29th March, with a retail price of 4,780 yen.
