Not a single Ninja Turtle (except for that shell phone thingie and two or three flingers) not a Transformer to speak of with the exception of a few Commander Class beast hunters, one row of the Star Wars two-pack pegwarmers (no Black Series figures what-so-ever) and a WHOLE MESS of the Man Of Steel garbage from last year. And this was at one of the newest Walmarts that opened where I live.
Normally I'd chock this up to a weird anomaly, or some kind of physical inventory being done, but it's been like this at EVERY Walmart that I've visited since about 2 weeks before Christmas. I'll often go by at nights to see the stuff on the pallets, but even then...nothing. It's gotten to the point where I don't even want to bother with them anymore.
I ordered the ML and Stealth Cap on BBTS, I'll probably just end up biting the bullet and Ebay Black Widow when she starts to become available, unless I somehow get lucky.
yeah.. that's exactly the same way it's been for the 4 walmarts in my area.. other than one of them restocking the tmnt figures.. once (the casey jones wave).. everything else is the same.. it's absolutely pathetic. only one of them stocked the first comic pack generations wave of transformers before christmas and that's it..
also, at one walmart there's been a new 52 superman figure sitting on the shelves for a while.. i'm pretty certain walmart has never sold those figures. i'm wondering if maybe someone brought it in and forgot it or something.. if i took it, i wonder if that'd be considered stealing.. i mean, it's not walmarts, they didn't buy it, and whoever brought it in and left it there clearly didn't care enough about it to pick it back up since it's been there for a couple months.. it's just odd.

scoop is very striking to look at, i love how the colors pop.. but he's a nightmare trying to keep everything pegged together in his alt mode.. nothing wants to stay connected, and if you press the pegs into the ports, the edges of the ports get stress marks. also, his targetmasters are so unimaginative it's criminal. their gun modes are basically two robots laying on their stomachs.. we've seen better and for $14.99 at target, we deserve better.
the minicon team is a disaster.. the individual robot modes are crappy, especially the tank, his robot mode is exceptionally terrible. the combined mode looks awful. he has a gigantic gap in his torso, he's got obvious legs and arms hanging off his back. and the forearms sort of angle backwards which just looks extremely awkward. the only decent part of this set are the alt modes, they're all fairly good looking. but it's all downhill from there.
lastly, skywarp.. i like the mold, and he's a must have figure if you own starscream and thundercracker.. the trio looks quite well together.
i'm really hoping rhinox starts showing up in stores more frequently.. and i hope the next wave of deluxes with rattrap isn't too far off.
