While I get that I don't see how FFF reaches out to a broad audience. By the summer kids will be Sentinel crazy after the X-Men movie but ask them about FFF and my guess is a big "Wha?". My point wasn't that kids know who FFF is, because they don't. My point was that kids like dragons so people would buy it for other stuff like some of us do with figures from other lines. Kids haven't been exposed to sentinels and they didn't know what they were. Parents that aren't collectors didn't recognize the sentinel as something they were familiar with because the color was off. With the rising cost of production the price was higher than most people wanted to pay. It could have worked better of it was a little cheaper and had the right colors. The fact is that collectors rejected the retail version and that means a lot more shelf warming than otherwise so the whole concept is a failure. Galactus sold a lot better for sure.


These days you have those cheap titan (or whatever they are called) figures and are large and parents would probably go that route because its so cheap. You see Star Wars putting out that giant X-Wing with no articulation and minx paint for cheap. They know that's what they have to do to be safe. The larger or more expensive stuff that gets rejected by collectors warms and that says something. The Helicarrier, Sentinel, MTT, most platinum Transformers, etc.
