Agree completely - this is about half of a good design and just looks…incomplete. I do like the overall feeling of power, but the lack of feet is a huge annoyance (and, I might add, completely impractical for a creature that spends a good deal of time swimming about in the ocean), and the stumpy, skimpy dorsal fins are irritating as hell. If it works well on screen I can somewhat forgive the design shortcomings, but it could have been so much more; I dearly wish they had brought in Yuji Sakai as either lead designer or design consultant on this, as his sculpting talent, artistic sense, and overall knowledge of the big fella is second to none. Fingers crossed the film redeems this!
