So Classified, going back to the original story your friend told you that inspiried your post,
I'm not sure it makes all that sense when you look at it from the other side.
Imagine in the future we develop the ability to travel either intwrimensionally or through soace and find a less advanced race.
So astronaut steve proposes a mission: spend more energy then has thus far been spent by himan civilization to Travel several hours outside a population center, diguise our selves to look like one of the natives, diguise our vehicle to look like a natives, invite a random person to come out side the population center, send in a team to wipe the memeory of all other witnesses, reveal ourseleves to the chosen native, tell him nothing specific or useful, put the disguises back on and drive him back to the population center and make sure he has no evidence to show we were even there.
Im guessing the odds of that mission gettingba green light are zero. There is just no logical reason to do any of it. They didnt ask him anything right?
