I never personally liked the 90's biz figures for collecting, the lack of articulation and poor sculpting never (as an adult) appealed to me, but I've been spoiled by legends and MU. but when I was a kid and they were the only game in town they were amazing, and you could not ask for more selection! I cant think of a character that existed in the X-universe at the time that didn't get a figure. plus I don't think the 90's nostalgia has quite set in yet, when I was a kid in the late 80's-90's I could pick up any Mego figure I wanted at the local flea market dirt cheap, now those figures would cost a mortgage payment. eventually when the 90's kids get there crap together they'll want there toys back and the circle will continue.

Those Toy Biz figures used to sell for more. They never got too high since they are so many available but stuff like MU drives the prices down as most people will just go for the most articulated and coolest looking figures. I think there is still a MOC market for those but that type of collector is the minority. Star Wars has proven it time and again, when you make a better version of a character (same costume) the old toy becomes vastly less popular. One day either MU and such will be replaced with some super advanced line that people will have to have or figures will go away almost entirely. Hard so say at this point.
