I found the image on Marvel's website, but it does not have any specific dates - only relative timeframes between events. Even without them, that image states quite clearly that IM1 and IM2 are set at least 6 months apart. I've very curious to know the sources Marvel Wiki used to get those exact dates for these events, since they seem to contradict the official timeline.

At least by IM2 and IH happening at the same time, you avoid the issue of why Tony wouldn't go after Hulk himself.

Just mentioning SHIELD is not enough, IMHO. There are all kinds of references from Marvel comics in the Marvel-based films. It certainly doesn't mean they're all directly connected.
