All the wires should be inside. I have taken off the heads of several sentinels for painting it's basically the same body. The ball joint the head is on is very secure and shouldn't break. It just has an LED that points up at the tip. That is what shines the light that you see come out the eyes. The inside of the skull is clear, reflective, plastic and made in a way to guide the light to the eyes. You could run the head under hot water and nothing would likely be damaged as long as it was just the head. The safer option is to use a hair dryer on a medium setting until it warms up and pops off easily.
