Designed in 1984, the Hellion was to be Cobras tank of the future. Unfortunately, the facility where they were being built was destroyed by GI JOE. It featured a long range dual-barreled concussion cannon with a top mounted multi-shot high intensity machine cannon that fired armor piercing rounds. It also had two surface to surface missiles as well as two larger ZPJ-79 delayed detonation cruise missiles and featured a very complex navigation system and a super fuel efficient 25 valve 1400hp hybrid diesel engine. The design of this vehicle was easily thirty years ahead of it's time.

Until recently the only remaining Hellion Tank was in Cobra Commanders personal war museum. The Commander has plans to mass produce the Hellion again some thirty years later. This time Cobra will not fail.........
