That's not even counting the Avengers or Cosmic that need the new Captain Marvel, or SHIELD agents without Maria Hill or GOTG without Gamora and so on. As a kid, you want your favorite characters and what you see in your comics or on the screen no matter what gender they are.
For teams like the FF - I totally understand. But for solo characters like Daredevil and Spider-Man or teams that have rotating rosters like the X-Men and Avengers, I think it's far, far more subjective even without considering gender preferences.

For example, when I was a kid, I was just fine with DD hanging with Spider-Man and fighting whoever else I had in the room at the time. The only interest I had with Elektra was when I read Frank Miller's run on Daredevil when she first appeared and died shortly after. I thought the story was amazing (and made Bullseye a badass in my eyes), but it didn't make me want a toy of Elektra - another minor supporting character who was now dead in the comics - any time soon. It wasn't until well after I grew into an adult that she got a lot more exposure and became a popular character in her own right.

Btw, Maria Hill was created in 2005, so there was no Maria Hill when I was a kid. There was barely a SHIELD back then. I know of her now and I'm a huge fan of Cobie Smulders, but I have absolutely no desire to own a toy of Hill (with or without SHIELD agents). It has nothing to do with her gender, either. I have no vested interest in the character at the moment.

The point being we all have different entry points into the worlds created by comics and that shapes a lot of our opinions regard said comic worlds and their inhabitants. So while one character might seem an essential part of a fan's Marvel Universe, that same character will have little to no interest to another Marvel fan.

Ok, settle down, Bill Murray. :P

(Besides, you just described my breakfast, which was more of a laissez faire state than outright anarchy)

Considering this is a 3.75" thread, we don't normally talk about 6" scale here. So if you don't specify a different one, we will assume you're talking about 3.75" scale too.
