) and it irked me that they were so statuesque next to Legends like Kang, Wonderman, and Captain Britain. I ended up selling them all and starting my DCUC collection in earnest. Additionally, I tend to agree with Dr. Kain (not on DCUC sculpts vs DCC) in that I dig old costumes. The New 52 is a big turn-off for me.
Y'know, those Michael Turner figures... not really my cup o' tea (no offense to the late Mr. Turner) but I did snag an Elongated Man to paint into his classic purple and white suit, and popped a Young Justice Red Arrow head on him to complete the look.
(side note: DC should've really planned out EM better. I mean, with him and Plastic Man, that's two stretchy heroes with red and yellow costumes. Talk about redundant...
) But yeah, I agree with you and Kain, 'cause the Nu52 doesn't really do anythin' for me design-wise. I mean, that Owlman figure makes him look like an idiot! it's almost as bad as his original look with the pirate boots and knockoff Hawkman mask!
