This is why I hate the BaF gimmick. There's always a rare figure with a piece you need, or just multiple figures you don't want at all, but you want the BaF so you have to get them. Then aftermarket prices are never kind, $50 for a Groot is ludicrous, that's implying that just over $8 of every legend is for the BaF piece alone.
The reason I don't think fans would be very positive about the Marvel-Now Emma is that many long-term fans are familiar with the classic look, and the Marvel-Now costume is guaranteed to go away eventually and return to something more formulaic. The new costumes should be the variants because less collectors actually read the material and will be unfamiliar with the look, the more identifiable costumes should be main/mass release since that's what they know. It would be like if the Wolverine that was just released was his newest costume instead of the familiar yellow and blue tiger-stripes, it would deter the typical collector who is usually only a casual reader.
