I think Marvel studios has been a lot better at the "quick" explanation, then on to a damn good movie. as apposed to Fox or Sony that seem to waste the whole first movie of any series establishing a back story. Think back to Iron Man, Cap, and Thor. the story is pretty much established within the first 20 minutes. and The Incredible Hulk with Ed Norton just picks up (wile still ignoring it's predecessor) without insulting the audience with a lengthy explanation of who the Hulk is.

On a side note, has anyone here ever known anyone who walked into a movie with anything like "Hulk" "Superman" "Batman" or "Spiderman" in the title saying, "gee I wonder what this is about?" or "I've never heard of this cultural Icon that has been in the common vernacular of the English language since before my parents were born", or "I need an in-depth 90 minute explanation as to how this individual acquired super powers before we go any further."
