Come to think of it, Rhodey and Falcon - the black sidekicks - in the comics take over the Iron Man & Captain America mantels so who knows where the MCU is going

They're more than likely to go with the Bucky as Captain America arc, because they've all but confirmed that they're killing off Cap. Chris Evans has made it quite clear he isn't happy with his contract, and he probably won't renew, whereas Sebastian Stan was signed on for like 9-10 movies and he's only done two so far.
