I agree. It scored fairly big at the box office, largely due to fan enthusiasm for another Alien movie, but the biggest problem IMO was the fact that it deviated too far from fan expectations. In that respect, it was a botch. We've talked about this before. Ridley didn't WANT to make another Alien movie: he was too busy doing a bad job of introducing the stupid Michelin Men. (If they all get eaten in the sequel, I might part with money to go see that.)

I really like some of these classic Apes figures. The highlight for me would be a Taylor that actually resembles Charlton Heston.
