I figured I could lend my 2 cents as well.

Hot Toys are incredible looking, way too much money for me to collect, but truly works of art. Personally if you want realistic then Hot Toys are the only option. I also love the SH Figuarts they are really cool, but to me these are often a bit more stylized so they do not resemble the source material as much as other lines, plus I am fairly sure the only Figuarts as of this writing are Iron Man and War Machine/Iron Patriot with the Avengers releasing either later this year or early next year.

Which leads me to my next point. You are looking for nice posability which I assume would be for display, but there are currently no villians available from Figuarts, and I haven't heard of any announced yet either.

I too collect 3.75" for cost, space, and the variety of characters. If you only like Iron Man and Batman you should go to Hot Toys they have them covered, but if you enjoy the entire universe's these guys exist you need to look into the retail store lines.

Lastly if you are looking to spend $50-$100 there are a ton of older Toy Biz Legends (6" scale) that sell for more and tons that sell for less so that price range is good for that line. Plus the articulation is top notch on the Toy Biz ones, Hasbro took over the line at some point and some articulation has been lost, but overall the posability with Legends is probably your best option.
